Just couldn’t resist a recipe with the words bacon and thingies in it. I went to the site—looks tasty but too much work for this old guy. I blog about man cooking, but it is a little easier –us guys need to keep it simple.
For those of you who may react to nitrates or other additives in some bacons, you can have fresh side pork sliced thin like bacon. Season liberally with salt, pepper and pinch of sugar and use as bacon.
These ARE the best. I made them again for dad and he was in heaven. The peppers get sort of sweet and smokey.
Lovely thingies! Everyone loves these when I bring them to parties.
